Have you ever gone through your favourites gallery and noticed a strange similarity between them and you're own work? Must be that weird influence thing going on again...
I just finished my first animation! Its just a test, but I'm proud of it. You can download it here: [link]
I've been reading quite a few blogs of professional animators recently, picking up the basic principles of animation and hints and tricks etc. From what I've read, good animation is all about the subtle details that the audience doesn't pick up on, yet if absent would make the sequence look strange and unrealistic. That's what I tried to achieve here. If you look you'll notice his body and head compress and stretch out as he moves, adding another layer of realism (or exaggerated realism) to the movement.
Any way if you have any criticisms or ideas please don't hesitate to tell me!
I worked out a few days ago that (like a certain number on deviant art) I LOVE making avatars!!!! Its so fun!
So if you would like an avatar in my style (see my personal avatar) send me a note saying:
What you would like the avatar of, What colours you would like in it, What angle (eg, isometric, front on, side on ...errr... top view?!) Text, if any, And a link to a reference that i may find useful (if it is, say a character that i may not know).
Remember that i have heaps of requests so it might be a while before i get to yours!
Some avatars that i have done! :thumb27095210: :thumb27091841: :thumb27073221: :thumb27068353:
